From General Labourers to Construction Professionals

Most of the young labourers start their careers in the construction industry from the lowest position – general labourer. They are responsible for assuming various support tasks on a job site. Such as site cleaning, removal of rubbish, lifting of heavy equipment or material, and wheelbarrowing to transport materials from one place to another. The other responsibilities are loading skips, digging with the use of non-power equipment, and manual handling of different tasks. They got training to handle it easily and professionally.

Recently general labourers from Perfect Hire undertook site cleaning work in Newington and Peakhurst. It was respectively for a period of several weeks and several months. Our workers started there helping various tradesmen, cleaning up after their work. It was to ensure the site is tidy and safe and to do some minor work. In one of these cases, our client learned to rely on our worker and asked us to put him for telehandler training. Eventually, he became his offsider. Now the client has informed us that they want to take our team member on full time and we approved.

It is only one case, but we can mention a lot of cases where clients learned to rely on us for good and accountable labour hire service. One client from Revesby has paid for a forklift licence for one of our team members. More recently, the client asked us to run a recruitment programme for an MR truck driver with a forklift licence.

The above cases show how general labourers from Perfect Hire are not only professional in using all non-power hand tools and cleaning equipment. Also, they are well-disciplined and clients are very pleased with their attitude and work ethics.
